The Portage Track and Field Team has a plethera of depth in terms of coaching expereince. A combined total of 56 years of coaching track & field.

Brad Meixner is in his 18th year of coaching warrior track and field. His knowledge of every event brings a lot to the track and field table. Brad threw shot put, discus and hammer at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. He is a multiple time Iron man athlete and teaches gym at Rusch elementary as well as acting Dean of Students. Joe Pease has coached track for 16 years. Coach Pease is also the head cross country coach. Joe enjoys building boats and traveling to Oklahoma to get them.. When he is not laying cement or building sheds( or boats), he can be found teaching the 3rd grade also at Rusch elementary. Jeff Wiessinger has coached track for 22 years. Coach Wiessinger threw shot put, discus and hammer at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Coach Wiessinger also coaches football and wrestling. Kari Krakow is in her fourth year of coaching track and field for the warriors. She recently joined Coach Meixer as a member of the Wisconsin Track Coaches Association Committee. This past year she took up the task of being "assistant to the President Elect" - it is a tough job but someone has to do it!.
